Some panoramas from Death Valley....
I had a really rough time getting good contrast on this trip - there was a lot of junk in the air.
The stitching job on the last one isn't what I would hope it to be - but it's also of the same location as last year's much-more-magnificent panorama.
That's all for now!

Inspiration: Louis Vuitton
Every once in a while, I discover a video that really speaks to me in some fashion. Today as I cruised through Louis Vuitton's marketing material on the Internets, I discovered this video featuring Angelina Jolie and her experience in Cambodia with the Lara Croft movies and with Annie Liebovitz.
I figured I would share it with you, my loyal readers, in case it might inspire you as well.
If you haven't seen the images from the Louis Vuitton print ads, I highly recommend utilizing your favorite search engine for them - Annie Liebovitz and crew do an amazing job. My two favorites are the Angelina Jolie and Sean Connery ads.
While we're on the topic of inspiration, I recommend watching "180 degrees south," a documentary available on Netflix Instant. Super inspiring stuff, especially if you enjoy adventure.
Cheers!

Death Valley 2012
My take from our trip to the Colorado River, Lake Mead, and Death Valley.
No particular order to these. Click to enlarge, as usual.
I'm super stoked on next year's trip! We're going to change a few things and keep a few things the same.
In the meantime, our next trip may or may not be to Havasupai.

Photo Bunny
The world's most awesome-est lens technology ever.
I give you: the Photo Bunny
I give you: the Photo Bunny
A collaboration between Vault Photography and Panic in Polkadots, the Photo Bunny allows the photographer to engage the subject in a non-threatening manner. The bunny makes photography fun, instead of scary.
I took the PB out for a night on the town while I photographed the photo booth at Electric Kingdom. People loved it! You just can't say "no" to a bunny that cute - even if it means getting your picture taken and posted on the Internet so the whole world can revel in your drunkenness.
Extra points if your subject matter is also a pink animal
Can't say no to the bunny!
Bunny-peoples! With condoms!? 0_o
In fact, the only person who expressed anything other than genuine LOVE for the Photo Bunny was Taylor Mahoney, who called it "wrong" and "weird." I'm guessing he had a horrible life-experience with a bunny sometime in his repressed childhood memories....
Cheers!
Yours truly with the bunny...

2005 Ford GT40
The title says it all.
Thanks to my new friend Daniel, who I met through Alexandra, I got access to a Ford GT40 for an afternoon. No, I didn't get to drive it, but I *did* get to photograph it!
In decreasing order of awesomeness...

Education
A little off topic for photography, but not really....
Education. How it's all messed up and the direction it needs to go to be successful.
Many thanks to my buddy Amanda for sharing this and bringing it to my attention.

Adventuabry
Adventuabry: Adventure February
0_o
Anyway. I've been on a lot of fun adventures in the last week or so. I was getting super antsy and all cabin-fever-y. I went on a hike on my own and shot a few landscapes and some abstract-y ice formations:
I also adventured with my buddy Preston on several occasions to a new high-line setup out by Lake Mary. The line was ~80 feet across, and as tall as 80 feet high.
I also joined thevisualCollective for their second monthly photowalk.

That's all for now! Hopefully more adventures to come as tvC prepares for Death Valley!

While the sun set, I had the Einstein up on top of Tower one, something like 1/2 power at the talent on the line. After the sun set all the way and we lit the fires, the flash didn't do anybody any good, so I shut it off and used natural light. ISO 6400, F/3.5, 1/30 sec.
I also joined thevisualCollective for their second monthly photowalk.
