Help Portrait 2012 Summary

Whew! We finished another great Help-Portrait event this weekend.

14 volunteers and photographers spent the day giving away photographs to those who might not have otherwise had the opportunity to have pictures made this year.

We photographed 164 people in 50 groups this year. About 100 less than last year, but we also didn't have the Arizona Daily Sun front page this year... so all in all I'm still fairly happy.

After all, it isn't about how big your event is, it's about the connections you make, the people you photograph and the lives you touch. That's why we do it.

Huge thanks to Garrett Merrill for shooting and providing this video to us!

HUGE thanks to the volunteers who made this event happen, and of course to the organizations that donated supplies, time and food!

I am incredibly proud of the people I work with each year to give back to our community. We would not be able to do this without them. Next year we will be back at it - so keep your eyes and ears open during the first week of December in 2013!

Video to come soon... we hope.
